We were honoured to welcome Innu author and former journalist Michel Jean for a powerful and inspiring visit. Through stories of his personal history and his Innu family from the community of Mastheuiatsh, Québec, he raised awareness about Indigenous realities while sharing his professional journey from journalism to writing. Michel Jean also met with Indigenous students and staff from Champlain Lennoxville and Bishop’s University, creating meaningful exchanges that had a strong impact on everyone attending the conference.
