Graduation Ceremony
Champlain’s 2026 graduation ceremony will be held in person on June 8, 2026.
We will hold TWO (2) ceremonies.
The 10 a.m. ceremony will celebrate graduates from Nursing, AMT, CST, SET, Sciences, and DEC sans mention. The 1:30 p.m. ceremony will celebrate graduates from Visual Arts, Arts, Literature & Communication, Liberal Arts, and Social Sciences. Each ceremony will take place at Centennial Theater, and will be followed by a reception in the Purple Pod, in the SUB Building which is attached to Centennial Theatre.

Am I a graduating student?
Students eligible to graduate have received an invitation to the graduation ceremony via MIO from Student Services. Be sure to check your MIOs as the invitation you received contains essential details on gown rental and tickets.
When is the deadline to confirm my presence?
If you are planning on attending graduation, you must confirm your presence by purchasing a ticket to graduation here. The deadline to confirm your presence is May 2nd.
Will families and guests be able to attend the ceremony?
Yes! From March 17th to May 2nd, students may purchase a maximum of 2 guest tickets. Guest tickets are $25.00. From May 11th to May 22nd, students will be able to purchase up to 4 guest tickets (until tickets are sold out).
Please note that a limited number of tickets may be available at the door.
At what time should I arrive? Where do I go for check-in?
Graduates attending the 10 a.m. ceremony are expected to arrive at 8:30 AM in MOU15 (SUB Building) to pick up their gown in Melanie Alden’s office (MOU15).
Graduates attending the 1:30 p.m. ceremony are expected to arrive at 12:00 PM in MOU15 to pick up their gown in Melanie Alden’s office.
Where do we line up?
Once you have been gowned, you will then line up in the student procession in front of Centennial Theatre. In the event of bad weather, the lineup will start in the Centennial staircase.
Review your name card to confirm your lineup number and find your spot in line. Our staff will be present to help organize you.
Can I bring my personal belongings in Centennial Theatre?
We recommend that you leave all personal belongings (i.e. bag and purse) with your family.
Will Centennial Theatre be open for guests before the ceremony?
The auditorium in the Centennial Theatre will be open for seating approximately 30 minutes prior to the ceremony. Please arrive early. There is no reserved seating.
Can families take pictures on campus?
Absolutely! A photo booth will be set up in the Purple Pod for candid graduation photos. Official graduation photos will be taken on campus, free of charge for our graduates and their families, courtesy of Jessica Ford Photography.
Am I required to return my graduation gown following my ceremony?
Yes. All graduation gowns must be returned following the ceremony. Graduates will be charged a fee of $350.00 for unreturned or damaged gowns.
Where should I park?
We invite graduates and their families to park in P1 or P2; see this campus map for details. You can purchase a parking permit through one of the “Pay and Park” machines located around the campus. They are indicated on the map. Parking permits are also available for purchase through the HotSpot Parking application. Please note that your license plate number will be required at check-in.
*Be sure to avoid parking in ‘no parking’ spaces’ as Bishop’s Security may issue tickets.*
Parking on campus is free during graduation.
Will flowers and graduation merch be available for purchase at the ceremony?
Yes! The Commencement Group will be selling flowers and graduation merchandise on the day of graduation.
However, you may take advantage of their online pre-order service. The pre-order link is www.thecommencementgroup.com/crclennox.
Is Champlain providing a live stream of the ceremony?
No, we are not live streaming the ceremony.
When will I receive my diploma?
You will receive your official diploma from the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement Supérieur over the summer. The Registrar’s Office will contact you when it is available. You can either pick it up at the College (no fee) or have it sent to you by mail (fees).
