In celebration of the UNESCO Indigenous Languages Decade (2022-32), the Kchi al8msakw Indigenous Language Learning Centre is pleased to announce a panel discussion on Indigenous language learning and teaching. This event, open to all, will focus on the challenges and benefits of learning Indigenous languages, with a particular emphasis on languages spoken in Quebec.

We are honored to welcome Philippe Charland, an Abenaki Language Professor from Bishop’s University and Université de Sherbrooke, and Gaëlle Mollen, an Innu Language Teacher from the Canadian History Museum, for a wide-ranging discussion.

The event will take place on Thursday, March 27th at 12:30 p.m. in the lobby of Champlain College-Lennoxville. All who are interested in Indigenous language revitalization are encouraged to attend.
