The Mandate

The mandate of the Student Access Center (“SAC”) is to promote and maintain an equitable access to education and student life by fostering a learning environment that promotes and highlights inclusion and respect amongst its student body.

As to act upon its mandate the Student Access Center assumes the following responsibilities:

  • Creating an equitable and accessible learning environment.
  • Reducing barriers and stigma hindering a student’s academic success or preventing them from requesting accommodations.
  • Providing accommodations, learning strategies and punctual support to students requiring them.

Additionally, to the responsibilities mentioned above, the Student Access Center aims to provide multidisciplinary support by fostering collaboration with the student services professional team (Social worker, social work technician, student life counselor and guidance counselor) and the registered student.
