Purchasing Online

We encourage students to purchase their course materials online through Bookstore Express (Visa or Mastercard only). Bookstore Express will open on Jan 13th, 2025 after 5:00 p.m.

To begin, enter your student number to receive the full list of course materials that must be purchased for this semester. Some items may have special instructions. Please read the full details of each item before adding to your cart.

New this year – track your order! After placing your online order, you can track your order to know when to pick it up in C156 (Champlain building). Please have your student ID ready at pick-up. By ordering online, you skip the long line at the store. 

Pick-up of Course Materials

Pick-up will take place in room C156, near the first-floor lobby of the Champlain Building, during the first two weeks of classes (January 20th – 31st) between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Purchasing In-person

The College may have modified your course schedule. If you need to make adjustments or add courses, you may do so until Jan 24th, 2025. To make an appointment with your Academic Advisor, sign up on the sheet in front of their office.

**Please note that Feb 14th, 2025 will be for course drop only. Students will be able to meet with their Academic Advisors to change courses and drop over the rest of the week.

Course Drop Deadline

The official Ministry deadline to drop a course (have it removed from your schedule) with no effect on your student record is February 14th, 2025. You must inform your Academic Advisor by this date to remove any courses you are NOT attending from your schedule.

Course Abandon Deadline

New this year, students may abandon a course later in the semester, past the course drop deadline. The Ministry deadline to abandon a course is Monday, March 28, 2025. You must inform your Academic Advisor by this date. If you abandon a course after the course drop deadline and by the course abandon deadline, the course will remain on your schedule/transcript with a mention of ‘Abandon without failure’.

If you do not adhere to the deadlines above, the non-attended courses will remain on your permanent academic transcript as failures.

The Ministerial Language Examination (also referred to as the English Exit Exam or Épreuve uniforme de Français), is a mandatory examination issued by the Quebec Ministry of Education. All students completing a program of studies are required to pass a language exam in order to obtain their DEC. Your status of eligibility for English education determines which exam you need to pass.

Bus Pass

Bus passes are available for purchase at the STS Office, Limocar or Pharmaprix Carrefour de l’Estrie. Once you have your card La Vermeilleuse, you can stop by Doolittle’s store on the Bishop’s University campus reload it every month.

Parking Pass

Parking Permits are now available for purchase through the HotSpot Parking app. You will need to download the app on your smart phone/tablet via the Apple App Store and Google Play or you can go onto the HotSpot website at www.htsp.ca. You must use your Champlain email address LE(your student number)@crc-lennox.qc.ca to create your profile.

Locker rental is available! The rental price is $10, and you must supply your own lock. You may rent your locker by visiting Marie Félixe d’Amours in C173.

All new students will receive, in OMNIVOX (documents), a Login Account with a Username and Password, which gives you access to the Champlain computers and other access listed below:

There is free WiFi in the Champlain Building. Select the CRC-LENNOX network and enter your Username and Password when prompted. More details on how to log in can be found in the FAQ section.

To access Office 365 go to www.office.com (this link is also in the top bar on the Champlain homepage).  Your Office 365 account is your Username followed by @crc-lennox.qc.ca (LE1234567@crc-lennnox.qc.ca) and the Password is your Champlain Computer Password.

The Omnivox platform is an essential tool to:

• Stay informed about what’s going on at the College (Latest News section)
• Communicate with teachers, Academic Advisors, and staff via MIO
• Confirm your course selections
• Consult and/or modify your schedule
• Pay your registration fees
• View your pedagogical pathway grid
• Consult LÉA to have access to your documents and your course notes
• Participate in surveys

ONLY IF you do not wish to have your photo, image, or video captured at Champlain College-sponsored activities or events and published for promotional purposes. Fill out the Student Photo/Image/Video Refusal form and return it to the Records Office by MIO. Students under 18 years old require a legal guardian to sign their form.

At the beginning of each semester, each student will receive a $5.00 credit for printing in the Champlain Building. The cost is 10 cents/page or 14 cents for recto-verso (both sides) or color print is 14 cents/page or 20 cents for recto-verso. To purchase print credit, students may contact Student Records or stop by C135.

Move-in day for new students: January 16, 2025

The move-in date is mandatory unless an alternate date has been arranged with the Student Life Counsellor, April Gauthier. Please contact April through MIO before your arrival so she can provide you with the necessary instructions for collecting your keys.

Move-in day for returning students: January 18, 2025

Returning students may arrive at a time that suits them best. Please refer to the instructions provided for key pickup.

Any questions or concerns regarding move-in should be sent to April Gauthier through MIO.

** IMPORTANT**

All students must complete the Room Condition form found in their welcome package within 24 hours of arriving at residence. Once completed, please return it to April Gauthier (office C169 on campus). If any damage is found in the apartment, the student must take a picture and include the photo with their form when handing it in.

Please note that parking passes for the Champlain Residences must be purchased for students who wish to park at the residence.

What is the SAFEGaiter app for?

The app allows you to instantly receive emergency-related messages, have access to emergency guidelines, a campus map, lists of resources, safety tips & tools, easy access to contact campus security and more. IMPORTANT: In the event of an active shooter situation on campus, Bishop’s University and Champlain College-Lennoxville will send out an emergency notification to their community members via the SAFEGaiter app.

Your Champlain student ID card is digital. It is available in the ”Services” tab of the Omnivox app.

Procedure to download your student ID card:
– Open the Omnivox app
– Upload a photo of yourself. To do so, you must click on the Services tab, and then on the Photo ID tab.
– Once approved, you will have access to your digital student card from your smartphone via the Omnivox mobile app. Your student card is under the tab Services, and then Student ID Card.

Students who are unable to submit a photo through Omnivox will need to inform Student Records.

Nursing students who require a printed ID card should visit Marie-Félixe d’Amours in C173.

In the Champlain Building

Go to the Wi-Fi settings of your device.

• Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on.
• Select “CRC-LENNOX” from the list of available Wi-Fi.

Enter your username and password.

• The username is the same as the computer labs’ username.
• The password is the same as the computer labs’ password.

Note: Android users need to scroll down to see the “Identity” and “Password” fields.

Accept the certificate warning.

In Bishop’s classrooms and on campus

Go to the Wi-Fi settings of your device.

• Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on.
• Select “CHAMPLAIN” from the list of available Wi-Fi.

The following login page should appear in your web browser. Enter the same username and password that you use to get on the WiFi in the Champlain building (steps above).

Come visit the Champlain Students’ Association (CSA) in the Mountain House building (SUB building). The easiest way to get to the CSA offices is by using the staircase right by the Purple Pod. Looking for lanyards and used books? You can purchase some at the main CSA office.

The office hours are Monday to Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Cougar Ambassador Leadership Team is a selected group of returning students here to support the student population through activities and by their presence at events.  They train together to prepare for orientation and include the Champlain Students’ Association executives, the Residence Life Team RAs, and students from each program at the College.

During orientation, they will be present with all groups, and then on hand during other events and activities throughout the year.  Their team motto is LEARN SHARE LEAD BUILD PRIDE, and their mission is: “To learn leadership skills as part of a team that supports fellow students to academic and personal success and builds community on campus and beyond.”

Did you know that you can meet with a doctor or a nurse on campus? The Health Clinic is located in the Sports Centre, room 2091 (offices are across from the pool windows). The clinic staff is available Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 3:45 PM.

Indigenous Student Services provides personal and individualized support services and activities designed to foster a sense of community and to support academic success for Indigenous students. The service also offers a dedicated gathering space in the form of a student lounge called M8wigamikw. M8wigamikw is a space for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis students. M8-WI-GA-MIKW (first syllable pronounced MON) is an Abenaki word meaning “our community space or communal house.”

The Newly-Renovated Library Learning Commons can accommodate over 610 users for individual or group study. Reference librarians and library staff are available to provide front desk services, library instruction and orientation services, and research support to faculty and students. Comfortable lounge areas and a café offer students a place to relax and socialize with friends.

If you need help with your well-being, we have a personal counselling service to help you manage stress, anxiety, motivation, feelings, relationship issues or any other challenges you are currently facing. A member of the team will reach out to you as soon as possible. If it’s during school hours, that’s usually within a day.

SEXed is a group of dedicated peers, supported by a small team of faculty, who are there to answer your questions and help you find what you need, from information to birth control. They support your sexual and romantic priorities with information on consent, healthy relationships, safer sex, peer pressure, and gender and sexual identity. All the Peer Educators have received training from specialist organizations. They organize information campaigns, fun events, a referral service, and safe spaces to explore a wide range of relevant issues. Our approach is non-judgmental, inclusive, diverse, and confidential.

This service is interfaith and fosters faith development, spirituality, and social justice. The Campus Minister provides pastoral services to all members of the campus community and is available to confidentially discuss whatever interests and concerns people may have.

The Sports and Recreation Centre (housed on our shared campus with Bishop’s University) features several facilities designed to promote health and wellness and studios for gymnastics, aerobics, yoga, Pilates, fitness, and weight training. Outdoor facilities on campus include a golf course, a professional-quality trail for cross-country skiing, and an artificial turf field.

There are various clubs available to students at Champlain-Lennoxville. Most of them are hosted in any given year on campus and nearly all of them are created and managed by students. The purpose of these clubs is to provide a place to meet new people who share a common interest, explore new things, develop different skills, learn about yourself, and have fun. Newcomers are always welcome!

Yes, you may extend your course of study to adapt your academic path to your reality. To do so, contact your Academic Advisor by MIO to schedule an appointment.

Some courses may be rescheduled to the following semester. However, please note that some courses are prerequisites to others or are not offered every semester.

You must take 4 classes (or 180 hours) per semester. Some exceptions apply; please verify your situation with your Academic Advisor.

Yes, you can. However, if you are not following your program progression grid, your course of study may take longer to complete.
