Training Description

Excel has been known for decades as the ultimate number-crunching program, but did you know that you can use it for many everyday chores, like maintaining lists, creating sharp-looking charts or keeping your expenses in check? The Excel toolbox is a 10 hour workshop for reviewing the basics and exploring those less known but useful features. We will cover:

1. Functions and formula syntax

2. Stat and logical functions

3. Charts

4. List management

5. Document creation, including budgets and reports

We are putting the emphasis on hands-on practical examples, using the English version of the software.

Note: The course will be held in a computer lab equipped with computers running the same software. Please do not bring your personal computer.

Wednesdays, from February 11 to March 18, 2026

Time:  6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Note: The course will be offered in English, however the instructor will be able to answer questions in French.

About the Instructor

With over thirty years of teaching experience, Jacques St-Pierre has been working for Champlain College, first at continuing education and then at the regular sector. He is currently teaching Excel, Office, web development and other computer skills at the Computer Science Technology department.
