For several years, Continuing Education at Champlain College-Lennoxville has been providing quality training tailored to the needs of the workforce in the Eastern Townships. In addition to our courses, the College now offers many services to individuals and businesses.

Just as individuals must change to keep up to date, so must our services. Many of the course listings you will find are specific responses to past requests from the community we serve, and we encourage you to make suggestions for new offerings you would like to see.

Course Description

The course is designed for intermediate-level students who want to enhance their oral skills in French. Various topics will be presented, followed by discussions to reinforce learning.

About the Instructor

Gabrielle Pirlet is a second language teacher specialized in intensive English and French to newcomers in Quebec. She is a Canadian citizen born in Liège, Belgium, and she chose to come live in the beautiful region of Estrie in Quebec. She is also a musician and music teacher, and an inter-cultural mediator. She earned her degree in Teaching Intensive English as a Second Language from Bishop’s University, in Music Education from McGill University, and her master’s degree in Inter cultural Mediation from the University of Sherbrooke. The diversity of her education and her passion for languages, music and meeting people from diverse backgrounds led her to launch several successful teaching startups with innovative pedagogical ideas. Notably, Gabrielle is known for her commitment to teaching with active methods focused on the interests of her international students. She is appreciated for her patience, her openness to the world, and her welcoming attitude toward cultural diversity. In her spare time, Gabrielle enjoys hiking, keeping in good health, having lovely friends, and singing!
