30 Sep National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Today marks the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
The Champlain and Bishop’s community came together to honour Indigenous survivors, their families, and communities.
Orange t-shirts were distributed around campus and students, staff, and faculty were invited to gather in front of the McGreer Building to hear inspirational speeches before leaving for a march.
As a community, it is important to reflect on the country that we are and how we can improve our future for everyone. We invite you to show your support by wearing an orange t-shirt today, but also by educating yourself and those around you.
Let’s move forward in the spirit of reconciliation.
