DEC-Tremplin / Springboard

The aim of the DEC-Tremplin / Springboard pathway is to provide students with training that enables them to enroll in or complete a program of study leading to a Diploma of College Studies (DEC).

Initially developed to cater to the needs of incoming students who struggled in English as a second language, it has grown into a support measure for a larger clientele. Although it still includes students who are struggling in English, the scope has been broadened to accommodate students who will benefit from more contact hours with the instructors for a variety of reasons in order to transition successfully to College.

The College has reorganized the courses and support measures that it offers through the Advantage option, while incorporating some of the competencies that are specific to the DEC-Tremplin / Springboard  to restructure the 081.06 into different profiles to address specific student needs.
