There are various clubs available to students at Champlain, such as the Gamer’s Club. The purpose of these clubs is to provide a place to meet new people who share a common interest and to have fun. Newcomers are always welcome!
Interested in something that is not represented? Then you can start your own club! The Champlain Students’ Association may be able to provide you with some financial assistance. They can explain the procedures to follow to be sponsored by them.

We are a group of dedicated peers, supported by a small team of faculty, who are there to answer your questions and help you find what you need, from information to birth control. We support your sexual and romantic priorities with information on consent, healthy relationships, safer sex, peer pressure, and gender and sexual identity. All the Peer Educators have received training from specialist organizations. We organize information campaigns, fun events, a referral service, and safe spaces to explore a wide range of relevant issues. Our approach is non-judgemental, inclusive, diverse, and confidential.
Our office is just off the lobby in C-172. Drop by for a lollipop, condom, or a quick chat. If the door is open, come on in.
SEXed recruits new Peer Educators once or twice a year, depending on need. The best time to join is in the spring, towards the end of your first year. However, we are always happy to hear from interested students, so please let a Peer Educator or teacher know you want to help out!
Green Champlain is a student-led environmental group that works to increase the sustainability of the Champlain campus and community.
Every semester, Green Champlain students decide what projects they would like to initiate! Our projects range anywhere from hands-on activities that accomplish concrete results, to education campaigns that sensitize the Champlain community about specific environmental issues. Building a vegetable garden at residence, running a composting service, and offering documentary screenings are only some examples!
You can devote a little bit of your time or a lot… the choice is yours!
Green Champlain members can have their volunteer hours officially recognized on their transcript.

The Current Affairs Club is a student-led club made for students who have an interest in politics, economy, sociology, and other disciplines pertaining to current affairs around the globe both domestically, and foreign. Through discussion and debate within our welcoming community, members of the group are actively encouraged to listen, learn, and voice their opinion whether they have minimal or extensive knowledge of current affairs.
The Current Affairs Club offers many benefits to its members:
· Share a common interest including politics, economics, and sociology.
· Gather recognized volunteer hours.
· Discuss, debate, and learn in our welcoming community.
· Partake in biweekly meetings during co-curricular hours, listen and talk to guest speakers and participate in activities.
The primary purpose of the Current Affairs club is to assist and initiate students into the interesting world of politics, economics, sociology, and more through practical exposure, discussion, and healthy debate in a friendly community. Furthermore, the Champlain Current Affairs Club is dedicated to promoting civic responsibility within the local community with the intent to educate its members and other Champlain students as to why civic duties are essential to the well-being of society more broadly. The Champlain Current Affairs Club recognizes the importance of the youth in a political and social context and moreover recognizes the lack of civic participation within the age group and tries to find adequate solutions to the issue.
Joining is simple. Simply send a MIO to Charles Chevrier or any other Current Affairs executive and ask them to participate in the next meeting. The Current Affairs Club communicates through MIO and Microsoft Teams, upon asking to join, you will be added to the list of members who receive emails and the Teams chat. If you have any additional questions, you can ask any of our executives through MIO or Teams.
A community where LGBTQQI2SAA++++ students can meet and feel free to be themselves. The Champlain Pride Alliance offers an anonymous, safe, and inclusive group for people of all genders and sexual orientations. This group is student-organized and student-led.
